Cab Tilt Power Unit
The cab tilt power unit (19) is located under the cab on
the right hand side of the machine. This unit is separate
from the hydraulic system although it takes the same fluid
as the hydraulic system.
Any time the cab is lifted up it is good practice to check
the fluid in the tank. The tank should be 2/3 full when the
cab is up to allow for expansion and flow of fluid.
Tilting the Cab Without Power
In the event the battery fails or the cab tilt power unit
malfunctions, it is still possible to tilt the cab.
To tilt the cab:
• Remove the front belly pan and locate the smaller
capped hydraulic line (21).
• With an approved catch pan under the machine to
collect oil, remove the cap from the line (21) using a
5/8 and 11/16 wrench. Be sure that the line is draining
into the catch pan.
• Place wood block on the end of the pins to prevent
damage, use a hammer to drive pins inward.
• Using an approved lift, rotate the cab forward and
install safety bar.
• Once the repairs have been made, recap the hoses and
dispose of any drained fluid following local regulations.
Fill the power unit reservoir as described above, and
lower cab using power unit.
Note: The larger line (20) is the drain for the entire
hydraulic system and does not need to be removed
to tilt the cab.
Note: Do Not reuse fluid this can cause contamination.
DEF System
The C120R is equipped with Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF)
treatment system. The tank is located in the left rear
engine compartment door.
The DEF system sensors and operating components are
sensitive and can be costly to repair and replace, care
should be taken when working with this system. Refer to
the engine manual for service and questions.
When storing and filling Diesel Exhaust Fluid use
approved and sealed containers. When DEF is left open
for a period of time, or spilled and not cleaned up, it will
corrode surfaces and crystallize. DEF that has started to
crystallize will likely cause harm to the system and should
not be used in the machine and disposed of properly
according to local laws and regulations.
Note: If DEF is spilled clean surfaces right away. The
removable drip tray should be kept clean as well.
Control Manifold
The Control Manifold is located under the cab, and mounted
on the front frame just under the cab pivot.
The Manifold is hydraulically controlled by pressure and does
not require adjustment.
This manifold pressurizes the cab lock pin and lift cylinder
system. By the pressure built in the manifold the valves direct
fluid toward the lock pins and then the lift. This valve also
contains the counterbalance valves for the loader arm lift and
roll functions. If issues arise with the control manifold, contact
your Rayco Dealer or Rayco Tech Support.
