C120R Operator Service Maintenance Manual

Operation

DO NOT ALLOW ANYONE IN THE VICINITY OF THE

MACHINE WHILE THE WINCH IS BEING USED OR

UNDER TENSION. IN THE EVENT OF THE CABLE

BREAKING, THIS COULD CAUSE DEATH OR

SERIOUS INJURY.

Winch

For Operator convenience the C120R is equipped with a
factory installed winch (D). With the winch being standard
equipment, the C120R also comes with a tree saver strap
located under the operators seat (E).

Note: The winch installed on the C120R is intended for
recovery of the C120R only.

The winch is intended for use to assist in extracting the
machine from a bog or mud. Utilize the winch in this situation
by following these steps.

• Locate a suitable tree, or a sturdy anchor to attach the

winch cable to.

• Open the access cover by removing the pin (F) and

rotating the cover to the left.

• Dis-engage the winch clutch by pushing the clutch tab

in and rotating the lever (G) downward.

• Unwind the cable from winch and hook to tree or anchor.

Be sure to leave at least one or more wraps on the

winch drum, so cable does not get pulled from winch.

When using the winch, utilize a Tree Saver Strap or

appropriate chain.

•

Note: When hooking to an anchor DO NOT loop

the winch cable around the anchor and place the

hook back on the cable.

• Engage the winch clutch by pushing the clutch tab in

and rotating the lever (G) upward as shown.

Note: If not using the free spool mode let the winch cool for

20 minutes for every 30 feet of cable travel.
