OPERATION OF ACCESSORIES

3.1 Battery Charging Operation

The charging circuit of the VRAE is built into the monitor.
It only needs a regular AC to 12V DC adapter (wall mount
transformer) to charge the monitor.

1. Connect the AC adapter (or the optional automotive

charging adapter) to the DC jack on the VRAE monitor.

1. The display will ask whether a discharge cycle (see

NOTE on next page) is required, press

[N/-]

key, and the

charging function will begin.    If a key is not pressed
within ten seconds, the charging will begin automatically.
The display will show:

Charging

Battery = 5.6V

3. The charging LED should be red in color when charging.

If the battery is fully charged, the LED will change from
red to green. The red color indicates that the battery is
being fast charged. The green color indicates that the
battery is fully charged. The display will also indicate
“Fully charged”. A completely discharged VRAE monitor
will be charged to full capacity within 10 hours.
