3.2 Interchangeable Battery Packs     

The Alkaline battery adapter supplied by RAE Systems Inc. 
is intrinsically safe.

 An alkaline battery adapter is supplied 

with each AreaRAE-Gamma kit. It may be used in place of the 
rechargeable Lithium-Ion battery pack to provide at least 24-
hours of operation.  

The alkaline pack holds 6 C-size alkaline batteries. Use only 
DURACELL Mn1400 or ENERGIZER E93 C-size batteries with 
the AreaRAE-Gamma alkaline battery pack.
