7. Troubleshooting
To aid the user in diagnosing the monitor, the monitor has a
diagnostic mode that can display critical, low level parameters.
Section 7.1 describes the Operation of the Diagnostic Mode.
Section 7.2 summarizes possible encountered problems and
suggested solutions. If the user turns the AreaRAE-Gamma
monitor on in Diagnostic Mode and refers to the table in
Section 7.2, the user can usually narrow the problem down and
correct it without having to return the monitor for repair.
WARNING
The diagnostic mode allows the user to set several low level
parameters which are very critical to the operation of the
monitor. Extra care should be taken when setting these low
level parameters. If the user are not familiar with these
parameters and set them incorrectly, it may cause the monitor
to shut down or malfunction. The diagnostic mode should be
used by qualified personnel only.
