Quantum DXi6902 User’s Guide

Caution:

not

remove a hard drive that has

not

failed. Instead,

only remove a drive that has failed. If you accidently

remove a good drive, wait 30 seconds before

reinserting the drive.

Port Indicators

Depending on the configuration, Quantum DXi6902 systems include

four or eight 1 GbE Ethernet ports. Each 1 GbE port on the back panel

has two LED indicators (see

Figure 6

• Link indicator

•

Off

- Indicates the port is not connected to the network.

•

Green

- Indicates the port is connected to the network at

maximum speed (1Gbps).

•

Amber

- Indicates the port is connected to the network at less

than its maximum port speed.

• Activity Indicator

•

Blinking green

- Indicates network data is being sent or

received.
