Installing a Replacement Hard Drive Backplane

To install the replacement hard drive backplane in the DXi6902 Node:

Use the hooks at the base of the chassis as guides to align the hard

drive backplane (see

Figure 87

and

Figure 88

Slide down the hard-drive backplane until the release tabs snap into

place.

Connect the SAS data, signal, and power cables to the backplane.

Replace the cooling fan assembly (see

Removing and Installing the

Cooling Fan Assembly

on page 195).

Install the hard drives in their original locations (see

Replacing a

Node Hard Drive

on page 86).
