In this operating mode, the workpiece is heated for the duration set and then demagnetized. A temperature probe
does not need to be connected in this heating mode.
Step-by-step instructions:
1. Mount the workpiece on the EDDYTHERM.
2. If the workpiece temperature is to be checked during heating, mount the temperature probe on the upper side
of the workpiece.
3. Press the “timed shutoff“ key. The associated indicator LED lights up.
4. Set the desired time with the “Up” and “Down” keys.
If another bearing is to be heated later on, the same preselected time appears after the “timed shutoff” key is
pressed. When the device is first switched on, a default time setting of 3 min. appears on the display.
5. Heating begins when the START key is pressed. The remaining time is displayed throughout the heating cycle.
Pressing the “timed shutoff” key displays the preselected time. If a temperature probe is attached, the current
workpiece temperature can be read out by pressing the “temperature shutoff” or “temperature hold” keys.
6. The demagnetization cycle begins automatically after the heating cycle.
It lasts approx. 10 seconds and is indicated by the associated indicator LED. A buzzer signals completion of the
heating process.
The heating process can be stopped at any time using the STOP key and restarted using the START key.
Demagnetization takes place automatically whenever the STOP key is pressed.
