perature hold
In this operating mode, the workpiece is heated to a preset temperature and held at that temperature until needed.
It is automatically demagnetized before it is removed.
Step-by-step instructions:
1. Mount the workpiece on the EDDYTHERM.
2. Attach the temperature probe to the upper side of the workpiece.
3. Press the “temperature hold“ key. The associated indicator LED lights up.
4. Set the desired temperature with the “Up” and “Down” keys.
If another bearing is to be heated later on, the same preselected temperature appears after the “temperature
hold” key is pressed. When the device is first switched on, a default setting of 80°C appears on the display.
5. Heating begins when the START key is pressed. The current workpiece temperature is displayed throughout
the heating cycle.
The “timed shutoff” key can be pressed at any time to display the elapsed heating time. This will help you
become familiar with the time required for heating the workpieces. Pressing the “temperature shutoff” key
displays the preselected temperature.
6. To remove the heated workpiece, press the STOP key. The demagnetization process is started automatically. It
lasts approx. 10 seconds and is indicated by the associated indicator LED.
When the indicator LED goes out, the workpiece is fully demagnetized and can be removed.
The heating process can be stopped at any time using the STOP key and restarted using the START key.
Demagnetization takes place automatically whenever the STOP key is pressed.
