perature shutoff
In this operating mode, the workpiece is heated to a previously set temperature and is then automatically demagne-
tized. A buzzer sounds to signal completion of the heating cycle.
Step-by-step instructions:
1. Mount the workpiece on the EDDYTHERM.
2. Attach the temperature probe to the upper side of the workpiece.
3. Press the “temperature shutoff“ key. The associated indicator LED lights up.
4. Set the desired temperature with the “Up” and “Down” keys.
When the device is first switched on, a default temperature setting of 80°C appears on the display. If another
bearing is to be heated later on, the same preselected temperature appears after the “temperature shutoff”
key is pressed.
5. Heating begins when the START key is pressed. The current workpiece temperature is displayed throughout
the heating cycle.
Pressing the “timed shutoff” key displays the elapsed heating time. This will help you become familiar with
the time required for heating the workpieces. Pressing the “temperature shutoff” key displays the preselected
temperature.
6. The demagnetization process takes place immediately after the heating cycle and is indicated by the associated
indicator LED. This takes about 10 seconds.
The end of the entire heating process is signaled by a buzzer. The total heating time in seconds can be read
out after the heating process is completed using the “timed shutoff” key.
This time is stored up to the next START.
The heating process can be stopped at any time using the STOP key and restarted using the START key.
Demagnetization takes place automatically whenever the STOP key is pressed.
