Programming Keys
85
The procedures for programming keys are described in depth in the
communications’s system online help. As a short summary, you can proceed
as follows:
1.
Select the desired telephone on the
System phones
status page in the
Search
input box.
The programmable key table is displayed. The number of programmable
keys is determined by the type of your SIP system telephone (please refer
also to the information given in the chapter
Technical Data
on page 168).
2.
In this table, click on the desired key (e.g. L1 for the phone’s trunk key 1).
A new dialogue opens.
3.
Set the desired functions in this dialogue. Store the programmed key
configuration with
Apply
.
The dialogue then closes.
4.
If required, configure further keys for this telephone.
5.
If you have programmed all desired keys, click the
Apply
button on the
System phones
status page.
The settings are transferred to the telephone. The telephone restarts to
apply the new configuration.
Notes on labelling keys
●
You can enter an individual label for each programmable key. If you enter
no text, the key will be labelled with a default text.
●
On the Forum IPhone 5030 SIP system telephone and on the
Forum 500(0) Keypad Display FIP 5030 expansion module, the key label
is shown on the display.
●
For the Forum IPhone 5010 / Forum IPhone 5020 SIP system telephone
and for the Forum 500(0) Keypad Paper FIP 5020/5030 expansion
module, you can print a key label with the current key assignment.
●
For further information, refer to the online-help topic “Printing Label
Strips”.
