Menus
Your SIP system telephone provides different menus to configure and use the
Forum 500 / Forum 5000 communications system’s features.
Status Menu
The status menu provides operation features that fit to the current situation
(e. g. menu when the called subscriber is busy). To use this menu, you have to
programme a
Status menu feature key (see also the chapter Brief Description
of Programmable Feature Keys on page 87). For a description of the available
status menu entries see the chapter Telephoning starting on page 95.
Main Menu
The main menu collects all features that can be used with the Forum 500 /
Forum 5000 communications system. It contains also all status menu entries.
To access the main menu, you have to programme either a
Main menu feature
key or a Status menu feature key which also allows to access the main menu
when the telephone is in the idle state (see the chapter Brief Description of
Programmable Feature Keys on page 87). Please refer to the chapter Main
Menu starting on page 141 for information on the main menu features.
Options List
Your telephone also has a local Options list menu. This menu is primarily for
configuring the telephone (display settings, ring tone settings, etc.). Please
read the chapter
Local Telephone Settings starting on page 79 on the menu
functions.
Using Menus
The operation of the menus depends on the SIP system telephone
type you are using. You can use the navigation keys/select key with all
telephone types. The display on the Forum IPhone 5010 /
Forum IPhone 5020 indicates the actions that are currentlay available and
which navigation key must be used to execute them (example:
Enter to
execute the current function. On the Forum IPhone 5030 the softkeys below
the display indicate additional context-sensitive commands which you use
alternatively.
