Telephoning

Door call forwarding

You can forward calls signalled from the doorbell to another (internal or 
external) call number, a so-called “pharmacy line”. This is done through the 

Main menu > Call forwarding

 menu (see page 181).

Call duration

All door calls are automatically terminated after a specific period has expired. 
This ensures that forwarded door calls do not unintentionally lead to 
continuous calls (e. g. to a mailbox). 

 

Your system administrator can configure the period in the Forum 500 / 
Forum 5000 communications system from 30 to 300 seconds. Ask him what 
the current time value is. 

Displaying Camera Images

The Forum IPhone 5025/5030/5040 SIP system telephones can show 
images from IP cameras on the display.  

●

IP cameras can be used as 

door cameras

 in conjunction with the entrance 

intercom systems (EIS) configured in the communications system. 

●

IP cameras can also be installed generally for 

monitoring

 rooms, parts of 

buildings or outdoor areas.

Features of this function

●

IP cameras can only be operated with the Forum 5004/5008/5012 and 
Forum 5500 communications systems. Up to 10 different IP cameras can 
be set up. 

●

On the Forum IPhone 5025/5030/5040 SIP system telephones, the 
video images sent by an IP camera are shown as 

frames

. These frames are 

refreshed at intervals of 2 to 3 seconds, giving the impression of a moving 
image. 

Prerequisites

The following requirements must be met so that you can access images from 
an IP camera on you SIP system telephone:

The 

IP cameras

 authorisation must be activated for your user group (in the 

Configurator > menu User manager > User groups

). 

●

A separate function key must be set up for each IP camera you have access 
to (in the 

Configurator

, menu 

Telephony > Devices > System phones
