7.4  flocculant metering (optional)

NOTICE!
Overdosing of flocculants
Cause: Metering flocculant during downtime or

backwashing of the filter leads to overdosing of

flocculant and the water to go cloudy.
The peristaltic pump DULCO

®

flex DF4a must be

locked electrically with the filter of the swimming

pool and the peristaltic pump DULCO

®

flex DF4a

may only run during regular operation of the filter.

For this electric locking, the pause contact input of

the peristaltic pump must be switched with the filter

control, as described in the separate operating

instructions of the peristaltic pump.

Alarm message flocculant
The level switch of the flocculant suction lance is

intended for connection to the controller. If there is

a shortage of flocculant, a central alarm message

is triggered.

Optionally, the metering system can be delivered with flocculant

metering. The flocculant is metered by means of a peristaltic pump

DULCO

®

flex DF4a that is mounted to the plate. A separate oper‐

ating manual is provided for the installation of the peristaltic pump

DULCO

®

flex DF4a.

When using flocculant metering, cloudy swimming pool water is an

indicator that the wrong flocculant or a wrong dosage of flocculant

was used. In the event of cloudy swimming pool water, please con‐

tact your swimming pool manufacturer and/or chemicals retailer.
