25.4 Knee lever brake with lock

To release or apply the knee lever brake, pull
the locking knob out of its lock and turn it 90°.
The brake lever can then be used to apply or
release the brake.

The
brake is closed
by pushing the brake
lever forwards and downwards. In the closed
position, the brake pin pushes the tyre in by
approx. 4 mm (at the specified air pressure in
the tyre).

Please note that the knee lever brake is a
parking brake which may only be applied when
the product is at a standstill. This is not a ser-
vice brake which is suitable for reducing
speed.
To
open the brake
, pull the brake lever back
up and rearwards again. In the open position,
the distance between the brake pin and the
tyre is approx. 3 to maximum of 4 mm.

To
lock
the brake position, turn the locking
knob 90° and allow it to engage in the intended
hole in the locking block.
