1. Operation
It is important to note that the Dosatron Particle Filter should be checked periodically for sediment build up
in order to keep the Dosatrons performing at an optimal level. For more information about the Dosatron, see
Section 2. Dosatrons
.
Dosatron maintenance consists of cleaning out the Dosatron Particle Filter as shown in the steps below:
1. First, shut off the flow valve by lifting the yellow shut off up and perpendicular
to the flow line (as shown on left). Next, remove the Particle Filter Housing by
turning the “gray” housing counter clockwise.
2. Carefully remove the cylindrical screen filter located in the center of the particle
filter housing.
3. Next, take the inner screen filter over to a sink and carefully rinse off any
sediment or build up that has accumulated on the screen. The screen is fragile,
do NOT use any sharp brushes or objects to scrape sediment from the filter. If
needed, the use of a plastic bristle bottle brush can be used without damaging
the screen.
4. When the filter screen is clean, place it back into the center of the particle
filter housing and reinstall it by turning the housing clockwise. Do NOT
overtighten. The particle filter housing should only be finger tightened, no
wrench is necessary.
5. Once the maintenance is complete, turn the yellow flow valve back parallel
to the line. Finally, on the DECI Controller screen, press the
RESET DOSATRON
SCHEDULE
button to restart the run time clock for the next maintenance
schedule.
