4.3 Removing the Machine from Trailer
1. Observe all safety and warnings before
operating the machine. Ensure that both you
and all other persons are well away from the
trailer as you remove the Portafill 4000T.
2. Prepare the trailer to remove the Portafill
4000T. Remove any straps or tie downs used
to fasten the machine during transport.
3. Perform the Engine Start Up Procedure on
Section 4.1.
4. Ensure the engine is running at idle speed.
This will result in the Portafill 4000T moving at
much slower and safer speeds when
dismounting from the loader. On days where
the air temperature is below 5 degree Celsius
allow the machine to run on idle speed for 15
minutes to allow the hydraulic oil to reach its
operating temperature.
5. On days where the air temperature is above 5
degree Celsius allow the machine to run on
idle speed for 5 minutes to allow the
hydraulic oil to reach its operating
temperature.
6. To activate the tracks using the Remote
Control, switch the Tracks button to the AUX
position. A siren will sound and a flashing light
will alert other users that the machine has the
tracks engaged and is preparing to move.
7. Each track can be operated independently. To
move the Portafill 4000T off the loader in a
straight line, move both the LEFT TRACK and
the RIGHT TRACK forward. This will cause the
Portafill 4000T to move forward. 8. When the buttons are released they will
return to neutral and the tracks will stop.
