Push the crankshaft seal onto the crankshaft flange by rotating the

insertion nut clockwise till the mounting dome butts completely on the

crankshaft flange mounting surface.

Leave the assembly tools for one or two minutes in the final position,

the seal and sealing lip position themselves as a result.

Loosen the inserting nut and remove the hexagon-head bolt of the

inserting jig, remove the jig and unscrew the base plate
9.

Check the fitted position of the seal, for this purpose measure the

distance at four points from the crankshaft flange to the level surface of

the steel ring (arrow).
