Alternatively, should the Glow Plug wire be difficult to locate, the Unit can be simply connected to the Ignition wire: the
Unit will then simply wait for 15 seconds before starting, leaving the glow plug enough time to go out.
Horn Confirmation
(MODE 3 – FUNCTION 3, OFF by default.) AUX 2 can be programmed to activate the Horn every time the LOCK button is
pressed, or when the LOCK button is pressed twice within a 3-second delay
. When this option is selected, the Panic Mode
is activated.
SAFE START
(MODE 2 – FUNCTION 1, OFF by default.)

If this feature is enabled, it will require the user press the START button on the remote Transmitter 2 times within 3
sec. to start the vehicle. This will eliminate accidental remote starts, when the kids are entertaining the Transmitter.
x
If Special Safe Start Mode is selected (SWAP mode):
o
To start the vehicle: press LOCK + UNLOCK buttons simultaneously.
o
Press START button: AUX2.
NOTE:
In standard Safe Start Mode, the START button must be pressed before the STOP button in order to set the vehicle
to Cold Weather Mode.
TURBO MODE
(MODE 3 – FUNCTION 3, disabled by default.) When programmed, this option allows turbochargers to idle down: the
Engine will keep running for 60 seconds after the user leaves the vehicle, then shut down and turn to Ready Mode.
To activate the Turbo Mode

Follow steps 1 through 8 given above in the routine for placing the system into Ready Mode:
1.
Ensure that all the Doors are closed.
2.
With the Engine already running, make sure the Shifter is in neutral.
3.
Apply the Parking Brake.
4.
Within 20 sec. push LOCK / UNLOCK or START on the Transmitter.
5.
The Parking Lights will flash 3 times quickly and remain lit.
6.
Remove the key: the Engine will go on running.
7.
Exit the vehicle and close the Door.
8.
Press and hold either:
x
LOCK to lock the Doors and shut down the Engine;
x
UNLOCK to unlock the Doors and shut down the Engine;
x
STOP to shut down the Engine without affecting the Doors.
x
Instead of shutting down the Engine immediately, the system will keep it running for 60 seconds first.
Cold Weather Mode
If the Cold Weather Mode is activated, it will start and run the Engine every 2 hours for a 4-min. interval (9 or 20 min. for
Diesel Engines) within a period of 24 hours.
The system must be in Ready Mode for entering the Cold Weather Mode.

To activate the Cold Weather Mode:
o
Press and hold the STOP button until the Parking Lights flash 3 times.
x
If Safe Start is on, you can activate the Cold Weather Mode by:
o
Pressing the START button, and then
o
Pressing and holding the STOP button until the Parking Lights flash 3 times.
x
To exit the Cold Weather Mode, do any of the following:
o
Open the Hood.
o
Start the Engine by remote.
o
Turn the Ignition Key ON.
o
Press and hold the STOP button for 3 seconds; the Parking Lights will flash once.
Use Mode 2, function 4, option 1 to set a Diesel Engine to a 20-minute run time in Cold Weather Mode; otherwise set it to
9 minutes using option 3.
Ignition-Controlled Door Locks
(MODE 1 – FUNCTION 1, OPTION 1, selected by default.) This feature will automatically LOCK all the Doors as soon as
the Ignition Key is turned ON and the Brake Pedal is pressed. When the Ignition Key is turned to the OFF position, the Doors
will automatically be unlocked (provided that the Ignition Key was initially ON and that the Brake Pedal has been pressed at
least once).
Smart Ignition Locks
When the
Ignition-Controlled Door Locks
are active and the Engine is running, whenever the Brake Pedal is pressed while a
Door that has been unlocked since the last LOCK pulse was sent, the system will relock all Doors at once.
