PARKING BRAKE WIRE
The system has a Parking Brake input; this input is used as part of the Ready Mode sequence and must be connected. This
input must be a ground. All vehicles are equipped with a Parking Brake, and all use a negative signal.
The easiest location to find this wire is at the Parking Brake housing. There will usually only be one wire coming off the
housing thus eliminating the chance of error.
Always test first.
IDLE MODE
This feature allows the user to engage the remote starter to take over the vehicle while it is already running. This option will
keep the vehicle running for the pre-programmed run time, or until it is shut down by remote control.
To activate the Idle Mode
The Idle Mode can be activated through the same routine as for the Ready Mode; at the last step, the TRUNK button is
pressed instead of LOCK, UNLOCK or START:
1. Ensure that all the Doors are closed.
2. With the Engine already running, make sure the Shifter is in neutral.
3. Apply the Parking Brake.
4. Within 20 sec. push LOCK, UNLOCK or START on the Transmitter.
5. The Parking Lights will flash 3 times quickly and remain lit.
6. Remove the key: the Engine will go on running.
7. Exit the vehicle and close the Door.
8. Press the TRUNK button until the system locks the Doors..
The Engine will go on running for the pre-programmed run time.

IGN / ACC / CRANK RELAY OUTPUT
PS-3085 SH-series car starters are equipped with a high-current, programmable 5
th
relay onboard that can be used to power a
second Ignition, Accessory or Crank wire.
The Unit uses a series of 3 jumpers; each jumper represents a function. In order to activate any one of the three possible 2
nd
outputs, you must place the jumper (supplied) on one of the three pins, and simply connect the 14-AWG wire to the second
Ignition / Accessories / Crank wire of the vehicle.
NOTE:
ONLY ONE OF THE THREE JUMPERS CAN BE USED AT A TIME.
NOTE
: The relay output rating on this Unit is 25-amp max. output. Defective OEM solenoid switches can sometimes draw
up to 50 or 60 amp, causing the 30-amp circuit to blow. With a digital voltmeter, check the Starter wire for voltage draw
when the vehicle is cranking.
PROGRAMMABLE FEATURES
The following features can be programmed according to installation needs and the requirements of the user.
Lock Pulse Duration
(MODE 1 – FUNCTION 4) The Door-Locks pulse duration can be programmed to give a 1/10-second LOCK and UNLOCK
pulse or a 7/10-second LOCK and UNLOCK pulse (default) or a 4-second LOCK and UNLOCK pulse (used to control
vacuum Door-Locks system i.e.: Mercedes), or for a 7/10-second LOCK pulse and two 1/4-second UNLOCK pulses (Used
for double-pulse disarm/unlock systems i.e.: Maxima, Pathfinder, and VW).
Vehicle Type – GAS or DIESEL
(MODE 2 – FUNCTION 4, GAS by default.) The PS-3085 SH can be configured for a Gas or Diesel Engine. In Diesel
Mode, before cranking the Engine, the system will wait for the Glow Plug Light to go out.
