Operating multiple receivers
The r emote cont r ol included with this r eceive r can be
used to o p e r ate u p to th r ee othe r r eceive r s (of the same
model as this r eceive r ) in addition to this r eceive r . The
r eceive r to be o p e r ated is switched by in p utting the
pr eset code to set the r emote cont r ol setting.
• Set the r emote modes on the r eceive r s befo r e using
this function (see
Remote Control Mode Setup
on
p age 114).
1 Check the operation selector switch to MAIN.
2 Press .
3 Press and hold REMOTE SETUP, then release it after
the LED flashes twice.
4 Use the number buttons to enter the 5-digit preset
code (see below).
• Receive r 1:
6 1 9 3 5
(Default)
• Receive r 2:
6 2 6 3 0
• Receive r 3:
6 2 6 3 1
• Receive r 4:
6 2 6 3 2
The LED flashes twice when the pr eset code has been
pr o p e r ly r egiste r ed. When the pr eset code is fully in p ut,
the LED flashes once to indicate that the setting has
failed.
To o p e r ate anothe r r eceive r , sta r t ove r f r om ste p 1 to
in p ut its pr eset code.
Setting the remote to control other
components
Most com p onents can be assigned to one of the in p ut
function buttons (such as DVD o r CD ) using the
com p onent’s manufactu r e r pr eset code sto r ed in the
r emote.
Howeve r , the r e a r e cases whe r e only ce r tain functions
may be cont r ollable afte r assigning the pr o p e r pr eset
code, o r the codes fo r the manufactu r e r in the r emote
cont r ol will not wo r k fo r the model that you a r e using.
If you can’t find a pr eset code that matches the
com p onent you want to cont r ol, you can still teach the
r emote individual commands f r om anothe r r emote
cont r ol (see Programming signals from other remote
controls
on p age 90).

• Afte r ten seconds of inactivity, the r emote
automatically exits the o p e r ation.
Selecting preset codes directly
1 Press the input function button for the component
you want to control.
