1 Select ‘Multi Ch In Setup’ from the Other Setup
menu.
2 Select the ‘SW Input Gain’ setting you want.
• 0dB – Out p uts sound of the subwoofe r at the level

– Out p uts sound of the subwoofe r at the level
inc r eased by 10 dB.
3 Select the ‘Video Input’ setting you want.
When the multi-channel in p ut is selected as an in p ut
function, you can dis p lay the video images of othe r in p ut
functions. The video in p ut can be selected f r om the
following: DVD , TV/SAT , DVR , VIDEO 1 , VIDEO 2 , OFF .
4 When you’re finished, press RETURN.
You will r etu r n to the Other Setup menu.
ZONE Audio Setup
If you’ve made MULTI-ZONE connections (see
Using the
MULTI-ZONE controls on p age 85), you may need to
s p ecify you r volume setting.
1 Select ‘ZONE Audio Setup’ from the Other Setup
menu.
2 Select the volume level setting of ZONE 2

and
ZONE 3.
• Variable – Use this setting if you’ve connected a
p owe r am p lifie r in the sub r oom (this r eceive r is
sim p ly being used as a pr e-am p ) and you will be
using this r eceive r ’s cont r ols to adjust the volume.
• Fixed – Use this setting if you’ve connected a fully
integ r ated am p lifie r (such as anothe r Pionee r VSX
r eceive r ) in the sub r oom and want to use that
r eceive r ’s volume cont r ols.
With the
Fixed
setting, the sou r ce is sent f r om this
r eceive r at maximum volume, so make su r e the volume is
quite low in the sub zone at fi r st, and then ex p e r iment to
find the co rr ect level.
3 When you’re finished, press RETURN.
You will r etu r n to the
Other Setup
menu.
Power ON Level Setup
The volume can be set so that it is always set to the same
level when the
r eceive r ’s p owe r is tu r ned on.
1 Select ‘Power ON Level Setup’ from the Other
Setup menu.
2 Select the Power ON Level setting you want.
• LAST – When the p owe r is tu r ned on, the volume is
set to the same level as when the p owe r was last
tu r ned off.
• “ --- ” – When the p owe r is tu r ned on, the volume is set
to minimum level.
• –80.0dB to +12.0dB – S p ecify the volume to be set
when the p owe r is tu r ned, in ste p s of 0.5 dB.
It is not p ossible to set a volume level g r eate r than the
value s p ecified at Volume Limit Setu p .
3 When you’re finished, press RETURN.
You will r etu r n to the Other Setup menu.
Volume Limit Setup
Use this function to limit the maximum volume. The
volume cannot be inc
r eased above the level set he r e,
even by o p e r ating MASTER VOLUME button (o r the dial
on the f r ont p anel).
