About connections with a product of a
different brand that supports the KURO LINK
function
The synch r onized o p e r ations below can be used when
the r eceive r ’s KURO LINK function is connected to a TV
of a b r and othe r than Pionee r that su pp o r ts the KURO
LINK function. (De p ending on the TV, howeve r , some of
the KURO LINK functions may not wo r k.)
• You can set whethe r to out p ut the sound ove r the
s p eake r s connected to the r eceive r o r ove r the TV’s
s p eake r s using the TV’s menu sc r een.
• You can adjust the r eceive r ’s volume o r mute the
sound using the TV’s r emote cont r ol.
• When the TV’s p owe r is set to standby, the r eceive r ’s
p owe r is also set to standby. (Only when the in p ut fo r
a com p onent connected to the r eceive r by HDMI
connection is selected o r when watching the TV)
• The sound of TV pr og r ams o r an exte r nal in p ut
connected to the TV can also be out p ut f r om the
s p eake r s connected to the r eceive r . (This r equi r es
connection of an o p tical digital cable, etc., in addition
to the HDMI cable.)

p laye r o r r eco r de r of a b r and othe r than Pionee r that
su pp o r ts the KURO LINK function.
• When p layback sta r ts on the p laye r o r r eco r de r , the
r eceive r ’s in p ut switches to the HDMI in p ut to which
that com p onent is connected.
See the Pionee r website fo r the latest info r mation on the
models of non-Pionee r b r ands and pr oducts that su pp o r t
the KURO LINK function.
KURO LINK Setup
You must adjust the settings of this r eceive r as well as
KURO LINK-com p atible connected com p onents in o r de r to
make use of the KURO LINK function. Fo r mo r e info r mation
see the o p e r ating inst r uctions fo r each com p onent.
1 Press , then press HOME MENU.
2 Select ‘System Setup’, then press ENTER.
3 Select ‘Other Setup’, then press ENTER.
4 Select the ‘KURO LINK’ setting you want.
Choose whethe r to set this unit’s KURO LINK function
ON
o r
OFF
. You will need to set it to
ON
to use the KURO
LINK function.
When using a com p onent that does not su pp o r t the
KURO LINK function, set this to OFF .
• ON – Enables the KURO LINK function.
• OFF – The KURO LINK is disabled. Synch r onized
o p e r ations cannot be used.
5 Select the ‘Display Power Off’ setting you want.
If the TV’s p owe r is tu r ned off while using the KURO LINK
function, the r eceive r ’s p owe r is also tu r ned off (all p owe r
off function). This function can be disabled.
• YES – The all p owe r off function is enabled. The
r eceive r ’s p owe r tu r ns off togethe r with the TV’s p owe r .
This function only wo r ks when the in p ut fo r a
com p onent connected to the r eceive r by HDMI
connection is selected o r when watching the TV.
•
NO
– The all p owe r off function is disabled. The
r eceive r ’s p owe r is not affected when the TV’s p owe r
is tu r ned off.
6 When you’re finished, press HOME MENU.
You will finish to HOME MENU .
