7. Putting into operation
7.1 Safety check
Is the machine in perfect condition regarding technical safety?
Are all protective enclosures correctly fitted?
7.2 First cut
Warning - danger of injury!
The saw blade is not protected with enclosure in the machining
zone. Danger in the saw blade working zone!
1. Dismantle the arresting bracket to unlock the band saw head from the
vice.
2. The TOTAL STOP button is unlocked. Switch on the MASTER
SWITCH activate the machine with the HYDRAULIC UNIT START
button.
3. Raise the band saw head (chapter 5.8.) So that the cutting angle may be
set without a collision of the saw blade and the vice.
4. Set the required cutting angle (see chapter 5.4.1.)
5. Set the required band saw head ascending height in accordance with the
workpiece cross-section (see chapter 5.7.)
6. Insert the workpiece in the vice (N); set the required length. (The vice
can be moved to the right/ to the left ).
7. Adjust the left guide head (R) 10 - 20 mm from the maximum workpi-
ece cross-section.
8. Close the CONTROL VALVE on the control board (see chapter 5.8.)
9. Select the saw blade cutting speed (see chapter 6.6.) and adjust the coo-
ling hoses, as required.
10. Select MANUAL MODE or AUTOMATIC MODE on the control
board (see chapter 5.5.)
MANUAL MODE
11. Switch over the MODE button to MANUAL.
12. Using the VICE switch, clamp the workpiece.
13. Press the green SAW BLADE START button to start the saw blade.
14. Press the green START button to activate the saw head descending
system.
15. Release the CONTROL VALVE gradually to set the optimum descen-
ding speed of the band saw head to cutting position (chapter 5.8) and
perform the cut.
AUTOMATIC MODE
11. Switch over the MODE button to AUTOMAT.
12. Press the green START button to activate the cutting cycle of the
machine (the workpiece is clamped, the saw blade drive started, the saw
head descending system activated).
13. Release the CONTROL VALVE gradually to set the optimum descen-
ding speed of the band saw head into cutting position (chapter 5.8) and
perform the cut.
14. When the cut is completed, the saw head is automatically raised to the
upper send position.
8. Machine Maintenance
8.1. Maintenance and Checking
Caution: Danger of injury!
Carry out maintenance only when the master switch is off or the
machine isolated from supply.
In order that the functionality of the machine and its components may be
maintained, it is unconditionally necessary to carry out the maintenance of
the machine, which includes the following operations: check and adjust-
ment of band saw guide heads and limit angles • machine cleaning • metal
chips removal • removing metal chips from the internal part of the band
saw head • coolant exchange • regular checking of quantity and cleanliness
of oil in the hydraulic system • lubrication of sliding surfaces and moun-
ting • checking of supply lines for damage • vice check • screw connection
checking • limit switch checking.
Checking of Protective Enclosures
Check the protective enclosures of the machine for damages and fai-
lures, if any, before starting everyday work.
