Development unit function PikoTest
By inserting a FMS-Test card the Development unit is in FMS-Test mode.
Please check the LED display after inserting the FMS-Test card.
The FMS-Test starts as default with ignition on if a USB-Stick is plugged in. The settings
can be changed per test if you change the settings (e.g. duration of the test) via internet
(www.fms-test.com) on the USB-Stick.
The recording starts after plugging in the USB-stick. The repeated 10 seconds FMS demo
data (stored in the Development unit) are recorded.
If you are using the simulation tool for FMS-Standard from LogiCom GmbH
(www.logicom.de) you can connect it to the CAN 1 interface. Then the repetition of the 10
seconds FMS demo data stops and the simulated data are recorded. If there are no data
available on CAN 1 for more than 10 seconds the stored FMS demo data are broadcasted
and recorded again.
The recorded data are on the USB-Stick stored in the folder „pikotest“.
The format of the data is ASC.
The description of the format can be found on www.fms-test.com.
Each recorded file gets a consecutive number:
Figure 9: Example data of PikoTest
The recorded data can be evaluated on www.fms-test.com.
In the third test run of the above mentioned example a FMS simulation from LogiCom
GmbH has been used. If the vehicle Id is existing in the FMS data the file gets the name
from this ID („Vehicle_1“ in the example).
Note:
The recording of the FMS data can be interrupted by unplugging the FMS-Test card.
The „PikoLoad“ function is activated immediately at the Development unit and the mass
memory data and driver card data are stored to the USB-stick. The Standard unit is
storing the data after having a valid and authenticated company card inserted.
