The ratchet lever hoist
Be sure not to exceed the load capacity listed in the "Technical data".
Arrange for a specialist to check the ratchet lever hoist before using it for the first time.
Each time before using the ratchet lever hoist, check:
Ö
the operation of the brake
Ö
the condition of the chain and the load hook (visual inspection)
Load lifting tackle
If additional load lifting tackle is used, make sure its load capacity is
sufficient for the job.
Load hooks must have a safety clasp.
Fasten the load correctly.
Do not use the chain as slinging tackle.
Hang the load from the hook in central position only.
Arrange at least once a year for a specialist to carry out tests in accordance with the accident prevention
regulations.
Be sure to carry out inspection and maintenance jobs in the intervals specified.
Use only original accessories and replacement parts or the equipment's safe operation will not be
guaranteed.

*) The ratchet lever hoist has to be loaded with a minimum load (see "Technical data") in order to
guarantee the reliable operation of the load pressure brake.
Description of functions
Ratchet lever hoists are hoists with a spur-gear unit. The lifting medium is a high-strength round link chain.
The load is safely held in each position by a built-in load pressure brake.
Lifting and lowering are performed by making ratchet movements with the lever.
In the unloaded state the chain can be released, allowing it to be pulled through the hoist by hand (see page 9
“Chain release”).
The load pressure brake is activated automatically as soon as the minimum load is applied.
