Operating Material / Recommended Lubricants
For best performance of the hydraulic jack, we recommend to use an hydraulic oil which is indicated in the table
below. These special oils best fulfil the technical prerequisites with regard to viscosity, (walk penetration) and pour
point.
The lubricants are based on ambient temperatures ranging from - 10° up to + 50°C.
In cases of extreme temperatures, please contact us or the "Technical Service Departments" of the below-listed oil
companies.

Operating Failures and their Causes
Failure Cause
elimination
The pump action is abnormally
“effortless” and the jack does not lift
the load
Non-return valve between the pump and
tank is leaky
Repair the leak
Overload, overload valve has been
activated
Reduce the load
Despite pumping, the piston does
not activate
The drain valve is not tight enough
Close the release valve by
turning it clockwise
The hand pump is exceptionally
difficult to move even without a load,
and the jack does not reach its max.
lift
Vacuum (insufficient oil in the hydraulic
system)
fill with oil and ventilate the
system
Load doesn’t hold
Release valve is open
Close the release valve
Release valve is not closed all the way,
or the valve seating has lost its seal due
to oil residue build-up
Pump does not generate any
pressure
Non-return valve is not closed all the way
or the valve seating has lost its seal due
to oil residue build-up
Clean or replace
Oil leak
Seals are worn out
Replace seals
Disposal:
After being placed out of service, the jack parts have to be recycled or disposed of in
accordance with local disposal regulations!
