Inspection- and Maintenance Instructions
Safety Instruction
Before carrying out inspection and maintenance work, free the jack of any load.
Inspection Intervals Maintenance- Inspection Works
Visual inspection of the head and claw
Function check of the jack (non-return valve) – Does the load remain in its upper position?
daily or before each
usage
check for any visible sign of oil leaks
clean and lubricate all moving parts
quarterly
during rare usage of the jack, check on occasion that the pump operates correctly by fully
lifting and lowering
check all parts of the jack for wear. If necessary, replace defective parts.
check if all screws are tightened
annually
arrange for an examination by a competent person

The service life of the jack is limited; wearing parts have to be replaced from time to time.
Oil change
Ö
Lift the jack (making sure the drain valve (5) is closed) and ensure that
the column remains extended by putting a wooden block between the
base (1) and the claw (2).
Ö
Remove the plug (3). (Keep the column (4) in its extended position).
Ö
Remove the old lubricant of the jack.
Ö
Position the jack vertically and hold the column (4) in its extended
position.
Ö
Open the drain valve (5) by turning it in a counter clockwise direction
Ö
Open the ventilating screw (6).
Ö
Fill-in the hydraulic oil (pay attention to quantity and quality – see below
table) through opening (3) until the oil escapes through the ventilating
valve.
Ö
Close the drain valve (5) (by turning in clockwise direction)
Ö
Close the ventilating screw (6)
Ö
Continue to fill the column with oil until some oil escapes through the
opening (3).
Ö
Open drain valve (5) by turning in counter clockwise direction.
Ö
Lower the jack without load (see page 10)
The hydraulic jack is an enclosed hydraulic system.
Correct oil filling and ventilation are essential for the proper functioning of
the unit.
We highly recommend the oil change to be done during the annual
inspection
