Clarus 600/680 GC User’s Guide

The carrier gas flow rate is in units of mL/min (1 to 100mL/min in 0.1mL/min

increments). There is no default as this field will be already filled by a previous

calculation result.

Velocity

This is a selectable field and, if selected, the t0 field is also enabled for input. The

Inlet Press and Flow fields are deselected and are display only.
The carrier gas velocity is in units of cm/s (1 to 500cm/s in 0.1 cm/s increments).

Split Flow Calculations Screen

Column flow rate

This field will take its initial value from the Main Screen Flow field. The same

range and units will apply.
If the value is changed in this field, the entry in the Main Screen will also be

updated and the input pressure, velocity and t0 will be recalculated.

Split flow rate

This field will use mL/min units (0 to 500mL/min range in 1ml/min increments).

The default will be 50mL/min.

Column i.d.

This field will take its initial value from the Main Screen Diameter field. The

same range and units will apply.
If the value is changed in this field, the entry in the Main Screen will also be

updated and the active input pressure, flow or velocity and t0 will be

recalculated.

Liner i.d.

This is the internal diameter of the injector liner. The input range will be 0.1 to

6.0mm in 0.1mm increments.
