Configuring the MIB Manager
Setting Common Parameters
In order to perform SNMP operations correctly, it is important to set common parameters for the MIB man-
ager first.

You can set the following parameters in the MIB manger’s main window:

Host:
Enter the IP address of an NMS-managed card
•
Port:
Enter the port number to receive SNMP request messages. Default =
161
•
Community:
Enter the same community strings that are configured for the system parameters on the card
itself. Default for read/write access =
superuser
. Default for read-only access =
monitor
.

Set Value:
When you are performing the SET operation for a read/write MIB object, use the
Set Value
field
to enter changes.
Setting General MIB Parameters
To set the SNMP version and other MIB settings, click on
Edit > Settings
or click
on the toolbar.
