Measurement sessions
A measurement session file can be retrieved in one of two ways:
•
by creating a new measurement session from a template present on the PC: the
starting template must be selected (section 4.2.1), the transition from the template to the
corresponding measurement session must be performed (section 4.2.7) and then all the
functions available on the measurement session can be implemented;
•
by opening a measurement session already created and present on the computer
(section 4.3.1).
Selecting a measurement session
Opening a measurement session previously saved on the PC is performed from the
homepage of the Polares 32 programme by pressing the “Measurement sessions” button.
A window will open allowing the user to navigate through the directories on your PC's
disk. Initially, the window will display the directory set in the “Default Directory
Configuration” system function (section 4.5).
After navigating to the directory of interest, click twice on the measurement session file
to be opened, or select it by clicking once and pressing the “Ok” button.
Session display
The display of a measurement session is very similar to the display of a template, with
small differences due to the different use of templates and sessions.

The pages into which the parameters are divided are the same four as in the
template: Session parameters, Electrodes, Measurements and Electrical parameters. The
page titles become “Session:” followed by the title of the specific page and the name of
the session file being displayed.

Some of the parameters in the different pages of the session are read-only and
cannot be changed, while others are editable. Section 4.3.3 lists these parameters.
•
When a measurement session is opened, the programme directly displays the
Measurements page, where the measurements performed can be displayed or can be
carried out. The operator can still move around the other pages using the buttons already
described for moving around the template windows.
