Getting started
This chapter lists the sequences of steps in the Polares 32 control programme to perform
the most common operations. See Chapter 5 for a description and explanation of all the
commands.
To perform the measurements associated with a session using the Polares 32 system, the
sequence of operations to be followed is as follows:
•
opening of a template file preloaded on the system and possible modification of
the same to meet the requirements of the measurement
•
switching to the measurement session management function;
•
actual execution of the session measurements;
•
saving measurements.
Once the measurement session has been carried out, the results can be viewed.
In the remainder of this chapter, the system is assumed to be correctly set up in terms of
hardware and with 32 electrodes connected to the system's internal MPX multiplexers.
Opening of a measurement template
A template must be opened for the creation of a measurement session, which can be used
as it is or can be modified. For the first use of the system, the template “last~template”
will be used without modification (if you wish to modify any parameters, please refer to
sections 4.2.3, 4.2.4, 4.2.5 and 4.2.6).
The operations to be performed are as follows:
•
select the desired template from the drop-down menu to the right of the
“Template” button, in this example choose “last~template”;
•
press “Template”.
The system will load the data contained in the template and present them on the window
for viewing and possible modification by the operator. The display windows of a template
are recognisable by their title, which reads “Template:” followed by the name of each
individual page.
