What To Do
What It Indicates
EER at Network
The error rate of the
received network signal
exceeds the currently
configured threshold. This
condition only occurs if the
network interface is
configured for ESF framing.
This condition clears when
the error rate falls below the
threshold value.
Verify that the network cable is
securely attached at the
network interface (labeled
NET).
Contact network provider.
ISDN Active
An ISDN call is active.
Only appears when a dial
backup module (DBM) is
installed.
No action needed.
ISDN Network Failed
(Active/ Idle)
An ISDN network failure
was detected when:
Active – Backup call was
in progress.
Idle – DBM was in Idle
mode.
Only appears when a dial
backup module (DBM) is
installed.
Contact network provider if
problem persists.
LMI Down,
interface
The Local Management
Interface is down for the
Network, Port-1, Port-2,
BRI-B1, or BRI-B2.
LMI for a BRI interface only
applies when the B channel
is configured as the
originating device/interface
(Originate or Answer
configuration option set to
Originate).
See if the DLCI’s link is active
on the alternate destination
link.
– If it is, no action is required.
– If not, contact network
provider.
Contact network provider if
problem persists.
LOS at Network
A Loss of Signal (LOS)
condition is detected on the
network interface. Clears
when the ratio of ones to
zeros received is greater
than or equal to 12.5%.
1. Network cable problem.
2. No signal is being
transmitted at the far-end
access unit.
3. T1 facility problem.
1. Check that the network cable
is securely attached at both
ends.
2. Check far-end access unit
status.
3. Contact your network provider.
