Winch overload protection (push stop)
The overload protection for the winch responds when the rope winch (push
stop) is in the overload range. This is indicated on the control panel by the
LED for the winch symbol (lights up red).
The following functions are no longer possible:
- boom:
............................................................................ raising
- hinged arm:
............................................................. lowering/raising
(exception: the winch is located on the hinged arm and the present position is: hinged
arm below horizontal. In this position only the function “raise hinged arm” is blocked.
If fitted:
- hinged arm below horizontal: .................................................................... raising
- extendable arm:
.......................................................................
extending
- rope winch on boom:
............................................................................
raising
- 2nd hinged system:
......................................raising/lowering and extending
The movements are not released again until after the load moment has been reduced and after the
lever has been put in the zero position.
Function check
Before starting work a function check without load must always be carried out:
Move the boom with maximum speed to the stop. The overload protection must respond when the stop
is reached. (Avoid this test position during operation of the crane).
•
The movements previously listed must be blocked.
•
The LED "crane" lights up red
•
If the crane is “at the slewing limit point“ the LED slewing angle- lifting
capacity control lights up red.
If the overload protection does not respond crane operation must be
discontinued IMMEDIATELY.
•
Briefly activate the pressure peak button “
OLP
“ and lower the boom.
