CHANGING THE DIGITAL AUDIO OUTPUT
SETTINGS

automatically send Digital audio (if it is available
for the current programme) to any equipment you
have connected to the DIGITAL AUDIO AUSGANG
(DIGITAL AUDIO OUT) connector.
From the Service Sub-Menu (see page 34),
highlight ‘Digital Audio Output’ then press
OK
.
The Digital Audio Output screen displays (see
right).

you want. Then use the

setting. The factory setting (when your set-top
box is new or if you reset your set-top box as
described on page 40), is shown with a star *
against it.

Auto-handling
*off
on
You should set this to ‘On’
only
if
you have connected suitable
audio equipment to the DIGITAL AUDIO AUSGANG (DIGITAL
AUDIO OUT) connector.
The setting ‘On’ means
that, if Digital audio is being transmitted,
this will automatically be sent to the digital audio connector and
there will be no audio at all at the SCARTs. This will remain the
case unless you use the Options Window (see page 23) to select
a normal audio stream for that programme, in which case normal
audio will go to all connectors. If Digital audio is not being
transmitted when Auto-handling is ‘On’, normal audio will go to
all connectors.
The setting ‘Off’ means
that normal audio goes to the digital
audio connector and to the SCARTs unless you then use the
Options Window to select ‘Digital’ audio. (In that case, Digital
audio will go to the digital audio connector and there will be no
audio at all at the SCARTs).
