CHANGING YOUR PIN-CODE
A parental control
PIN-Code
is supplied with your
smartcard. You need the PIN-Code to unlock
locked programmes so that you can watch and
hear them. See page 26 for details on how to
unlock programmes.
We recommend that you change this PIN-Code to
one you will easily remember but will be able to
keep secret, as described below.
Press the
Menü
button to display the Settings
Menu, then press
OK
to display the Service Sub-
Menu.
From the Service Sub-Menu (see also page 34),
highlight ‘Change PIN-Code’ then press
OK
. The
following screen displays.
Use the
number
buttons on your remote control to
enter the four digits of your
current
PIN-Code.
(You can find this on the letter that came with
your smartcard.) To maintain secrecy, stars
appear instead of the numbers.
If you make a mistake while entering your PIN-
Code, press the
L
button to delete one or more
digits.
When you have entered all four digits correctly,
press
OK
.
On the next screen, use the
number
buttons to
enter the four digits of a
new
PIN-Code, then press
OK
.
NOTE: Your PIN-Code must not have all four digits
the same. Codes like 0000 or 3333 will not be
allowed.
On the next screen, use the
number
buttons to
enter the four digits of your
new
PIN-Code
again
,
then press
OK
.
A message displays to confirm your new PIN-Code
is now saved. Press
OK
to remove this message
and return to the Service Sub-Menu.
NOTE: If you forget your PIN-Code, ring the Kabel
Deutschland-Hotline or Premiere Service.
