OPTIONAL CONNECTIONS
To make the most of your set-top box and digital
television you may wish to connect your set-top
box to audio equipment, such as a hi-fi amplifier
or home cinema system.
01.
Disconnect all the equipment from the
mains supply.
02.
Connect your set-top box to your audio
equipment, using one of the methods
shown in the diagram below.
03.
When all the connections are properly
made, re-connect all the equipment to the
mains supply.
SWITCHING ON YOUR
SET-TOP BOX
When you have connected your set-top box to the
mains supply, its indicator light will light up.
If your set-top box is in standby, the light will be
orange; if your set-top box is out of standby, the
light will be green.
To switch on your set-top box, first make sure that
your TV is switched on. Press the
Standby
button
(
S
) on the front panel of your set-top box, so that
the light is green.
If you do not see the Language screen (see page
10) or a digital channel, use your TV’s remote
contol to select the correct AV channel on your TV.
Whenever you are not using your set-top box, you
should put it into standby by pressing the
Standby
button (
S
).
