6.7.2.63 F84: Pulse automatic adjustment
Sets the pulse mode that has the pulse automatic adjustment function. This function is available when set to the following
welding method.
In pulse welding, spatter generation will increase when the welding voltage is set at a low value and welding is carried
out in a way that short-circuit will occur moderately. Spatter generation during welding is suppressed in the pulse
automatic adjustment by automatically adjusting the pulse current waveform in a real time basis.
•
“0”: Standard pulse mode
•
“1”: Pulse mode for automatic adjustment
–
The adjustment amount of pulse automatic adjustment is updated occasionally during welding.
–
The adjustment amount of pulse automatic adjustment will be retained even after welding has
completed. If welding is started again, the pulse current waveform will start from the adjustment state
of the last welding completion, and automatic adjustment will be carried out from that state.
–
The retained adjustment amount can be checked in internal function F85 (Adjustment amount of pulse
automatic adjustment).
•
“2”: Pulse mode for automatic adjustment / Fixing of adjustment value
–
Sets the adjustment amount of pulse automatic adjustment at a fixed value (currently retained value)
so that the adjustment amount will not be updated even if welding is carried out.
–
The adjustment amount of pulse automatic adjustment is set by carrying out the welding after setting
at “1” or by manually changing the setting of internal function F85 (Adjustment amount of pulse
automatic adjustment).
T I P S
•
When set at “1” or “2”, the settings “ARC CONTROL” and “CONSTANT PENETRATION” will be
disabled.
•
Pulse automatic adjustment will not be carried out during welding at initial conditions and at
crater treatment.
•
Pulse automatic adjustment will be carried out when main welding is continuously performed for
1 second or more. The function will not be carried out if the main welding is carried out for less
than 1 second.
•
Pulse automatic adjustment is a function specialized for welding by automatic machines.
Therefore, this function cannot be used when “TRAVEL SPEED” is “STANDARD”.
6.7.2.64 F85: Adjustment amount of pulse automatic adjustment
The currently retained adjustment amount of pulse automatic adjustment can be checked. In addition, the adjustment
amount can be changed manually.
•
Setting range of the value: -9.99 to 9.99.
T I P S
•
The adjustment amount is set in a way that the appropriate welding is possible when the value
is “0”. However, factors such as welding environment (base metal side / torch side cable, torch
cable length and routing) and welding work conditions (posture, welding conditions such as lap
and fillet, and wire extension) leads to fluctuation of the appropriate adjustment amount from
zero.
•
Even if the adjustment amount is changed manually, the amount will be updated when welding
is carried out after internal function F84 (Pulse automatic adjustment) is set at “1”.
