9.11.5 VARIOUS PROBLEMS
The guide to the identification of the faults listed below, lists some faults that may
occur during operation, its symptoms and the appropriate corrective action. If the
Keratron™ Scout system still does not work even after performing the corrective
actions listed below, call the authorized OPTIKON 2000 SpA service
SYMPTOMS
CORRECTIVE ACTION
Database
The database is locked, you can neither
open nor close it.
a.
Upgrade to the latest version of the
software and try again.
Solution A
a.
Exit the Scout program.
b.
Rename the database folder in use (the
selected database is shown on the top
bar of the Scout screen) e.g.: "C:\My
Documents\Database" to "C:\My
Documents\Database_old".
c.
Launch the Scout program.
d.
From the command of the "New
database" menu (New Database) rebuild
the database 'C:\My
Documents\Database "; if the database
was "C:\Keratron\Database” it is not
necessary to recreate it because it is the
standard and is therefore created directly
by the program if it is not found.
e.
Import the exams from the "C:\My
Documents\Database_old".
Solution B (if you are working in a LAN)
a.
Exit (completely) from the Scout program
b.
Open the Indtest.mdb file (from the mail
folder in the top of the Scout screen).
c.
Open the table 'TabLock'.
