It is possible to switch between the "Near" and "Far” sensors by clicking on the
[Sensor] icon; see §5.1.2 for details on both the standard and bivalent cones.

The acquisition can be started by pressing the button on the unit or by pressing the
pedal: this in figure 7-20 is for live viewing, on a calibration sphere (On top the new
EPCS version and under the old version):
