Introduction

Console Server & RIM Gateway User Manual

The

console server

runs an embedded Linux operating system, and experienced Linux and UNIX users may prefer to

undertake configuration at the command line. You can command line access by dial-in or directly connecting to the

console server’s

serial console/modem port, or by using ssh or Telnet to connect to the

console server

over the LAN, or

with PPTP, IPsec or OpenVPN.

Manual Conventions
