The loads connected are supplied with filtered mains voltage.
In addition, the mains voltage is stabilised and monitored by
the Buck & Boost regulator unit.
In this operating state, Line is illuminated in combination with
the utilisation indicator ( ) as well as one of the LEDs for the
selected input sensitivity and output voltage.
2.) Battery mode:
If, in normal mode, the input voltage leaves the defined volt-
age and/or frequency tolerances, or in the event of a complete
power failure, the UPS automatically switches to the
battery
mode without interruption of supply. During this process the
inverter is supplied with power from the batteries and provides
the devices connected with an AC voltage in place of the
mains.
The battery is discharged, a situation that is indicated by a
flashing
Battery LED and an acoustic warning (1 x every 4
seconds). The remaining battery capacity can be read on the
scale (
) beside the Battery LED.
If the mains voltage does not return within a few minutes al-
lowing the UPS system to automatically switch back to the
normal mode , the battery must be protected against deep
discharge. Reaching the deep discharge limit is indicated by
an acoustic warning every second.
The battery is protected against deep discharge by shutting
down the UPS system. First the devices connected must be
correctly shut down. This action can be performed in two
ways:
1.) Automatic shutdown using the DataWatch software.
2.) Shutdown by manually switching off the loads connected
as well as switching off the UPS system.
When the mains voltage returns after an automatic shutdown
by DataWatch, the ZINTO A automatically switches back on
and returns to the
normal mode .
After a manual shutdown of the ZINTO A, the UPS system
must be started again by hand.
