FOREWORD TO THE INSTRUCTION MANUAL: these instructions concern only electrical installation and use of the
control system with EC 1 equipment. Mechanical installation is covered in the instructions provided with the actuator.
The safety warnings must be observed in order to avoid danger during assembly, mounting and testing of the automation
device. Read this instruction manual with care before all else. Keep the instructions available nearby for reference during all
use and maintenance.
The data are purely indicative. The manufacturer cannot assume responsibility for inaccuracies in this manual attributable
to printing or transcription errors. The company reserves the right to make changes in light of improvements to the product,
without prior notice.
WARNINGS: read the instructions with care before installing the product.
Do not dispose of the packaging (plastic, polystyrene, etc.) in the environment and do not leave it within reach of children
because it can be a source of danger. Incorrect installation of the device can also pose serious danger: follow all the instruc-
tions on installation with care. It is recommended to observe all the safety standards in force; to work in a well lit environ-
ment where there are no health risks; and to wear compliant protective equipment (safety footwear, protective glasses, gloves
and hard hat) and close-fitting clothing. Adopt measures to protect against flying parts and the potential risks of crush-
ing, impact and cutting. It is recommended to observe all domestic standards in force on safety at the workplace (in Italy,
Legislative Decree 528/99 coordinated with Legislative Decree 494/96 “implementation of directive 92/57/EEC concerning
the minimum health and safety requirements to be adopted at temporary or movable sites”). Cordon off the site to prevent
unauthorised access and do not leave the work area unattended. Installation, electrical connections and adjustments must
be carried out in accordance with the code of good practice and the domestic laws in force. The manufacturer of the motor
control panel cannot be held liable for poor construction of the structure to be motorised, or for damage caused during use.
Incorrect installation can be a source of danger. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions. Before starting installation, check
the condition of the product and check that the structure on which it is to be installed is sufficiently strong and stable and
complies with the applicable regulations in force. Installation, testing and commissioning of the control panel, and all peri-
odic checks and maintenance work must be entrusted to specialist technicians trained in use of the product.
The electrical system must be set up by an experienced and qualified electrician in accordance with national law and in
compliance with the domestic laws on the safety of systems (in Italy, Law 46/90). Before connecting the power supply, check
that the voltage and current are compatible with that on the data plate. The primary protective measures are adopted on
site/during installation. Use a 6 A magnetothermal differential switch with a trip threshold of 30 mA. Always disconnect
the power supply before carrying out any maintenance, repairs or replacements of a mechanical or electrical nature. Ensure
that the automatic gate complies with the requirements of the Machine Directive 2006/42/EEC that apply to the complete,
assembled and installed gate before testing and commissioning the automation. The installer must produce and retain the
technical dossier of the automatic gate and observe all the requirements concerned. When ready, the installer must check
installation and correct operation of the automation. The installer must perform a risk assessment and check that no point
of the gate presents a risk of crushing or cutting. The installer must take corrective measures when necessary and put up the
signs required by the laws in force to draw attention to the areas of danger. There must be a plate in an obvious place on the
installation bearing the data of the motorised system. The installer must provide all the information on automatic, manual
and emergency use of the motorised gate, and provide the user of the system with instructions on use. Original spare parts
must be used for repairs or replacements. The use of components of other brands renders the warranty null and void. The
manufacturer of the motor control panel cannot assume responsibility for the installation of incompatible components that
can compromise safety and operation.
