External Return Bin Installation and Service Guide

Daisy Chains

Another ERB or up to 10 FlexLocks can be daisy-chained (cabled) from an ERB—first from the
ERB, then from each other. See

FlexLock Installation and Configuration Guide

(PN 60-3002)

for

details.

A daisy chain can comprise up to 75 feet (22.86 meters) of cabling without a relay.

When an ERB is daisy-chained, perform the following procedure to maintain the best
performance.

1. Open the return door of the ERB to remove the

PCB/solenoid metal mount

a. Push the pawl of the solenoid to the left.

2. Remove the

PCB/solenoid metal plate

by loosening the two nuts on either side of the plate,

using a 5/16” nut driver.
