Chapter 3 Preparation and inspection before observation

Towing using the extendable handle

1

Make sure that the latch is completely closed.

CAUTION

•

If the latch is not completely closed, the top cover may open accidentally when the case is
lifted.

Pull the lock lever towards you to unlock and extend the handle.
Pull the handle out until you hear it click. To stow the handle, pull
the lock lever towards you to unlock the handle, and then push the
handle in until you hear a click.

CAUTION

•

Be sure to pull out the extendable handle as far as it will go. The handle is not locked if pulled
out only part way, which creates the risk of it suddenly extending or contracting.

•

Be careful you do not catch your hand when storing the handle inside the case.

•

The extendable handle is used to roll the case on the wheels on its lower side. Do not
attempt to lift the case by holding the extendable handle.

Hold the handle to lift one side of the case and move it by rolling the
wheels on the bottom of the case along the ground.
