7.6 Error Message PR-5 or PR-8
If the error message PR-5 or PR-8 is displayed often or even always when running a cleaning cycle
or starting a measurement, the system is not able:

To pump the waste from the internal fluid system into the waste container (error message PR-5).
+
To pump the fluid from the storage container into the internal fluid system (error message PR-8).
In this case try the following procedure, checking after each step to see if the problem is resolved:

PR-8 only: Check if there is enough CASY ton in the storage container.

PR-8 only: Check that the tubing going into the storage container is not kinked.

Replace the sample cup and the CASY ton storage containers with two CASY cups containing
distilled water.

Run three consecutive cleaning cycles.
+
Repeat these steps with freshly distilled water in the two CASY cups.
+
Empty the two cups and put them back into their position.
+
Open the
SERVICE MENU
screen and start the
Dry Liquid System
command.
+
Start the
Dry Liquid System
command a second time.
+
Put the storage container with filtered CASY ton back into its position and put a CASY cup with
freshly filtered CASY ton under the capillary.
+
Run three consecutive cleaning cycles with CASY ton.

In case the described steps are not successful, contact your OLS representative for maintenance
service by an OLS service technician.
7.7 Error Message PR-1a, PR-1b, PR-2a, or PR-2b
If the error message PR-1a, PR-1b, PR-2a, or PR-2b is shown during a self test after the system was
not in use for some time, one or more of the internal valves are hanging. In this case:

Start the system several times to run the complete selftest repeatedly. In most cases the hanging
valve will work well again after some start-ups.

In case the described steps are not successful, contact your OLS representative for maintenance
service by an OLS service technician.
