CUSTOMIZING THE MACHINE

The facsimile machine offers a series of parameters which enable you to radically change the
machine's set-up, so that you can adapt it to various situations and the requirements of your
workplace

The procedures, page 56.
A description of the set-up parameters is given below, arranged according to their function.

Transmission
AUTOMATIC STORING
Enables/disables automatic storage of documents for transmission. Automatic storage gives the
following advantages:
-
the document can be removed immediately for other purposes
-
other operations can be performed at the same time, taking full advantage of the machine's
multifunctional operation
-
you can check that the document has been scanned correctly.
In addition, by storing the document, you can display the number of pages in the document and
its reference number which you may need to know if you subsequently need to change the setting.
SENDER ID LINE
This parameter enables you to define where the machine will print the sender's ID data, i.e. name
and fax number, date and time of transmission and the number of the current page (printed on a
single line). The ID may be:
INSIDE THE DOCUMENT (superimposed in the top few millimetres of the document)
or
OUTSIDE THE DOCUMENT (just below the top edge)
TRANSMISSION SPEED
Enables you to select the transmission speed (bits per second). The possible values are:
14400 bps
9600 bps
4800 bps (recommended for lines with a lot of interference)
DOCUMENT RETRANSMISSION
Enables you to enable or disable automatic retransmission of the pages not sent satisfactorily due
to errors on the line. This function can only be activated if the document has been stored.
RESEND FAILED TX
Enables you to keep or clear the documents that were not sent successfully in the memory for
manual retransmission.
