Department 3 and then create PLU 3 with a unit price of £10.00 assigned
to Department 8.
Type/Press:
[Qty/Time] + [1] + [PLU] + [150] + [Department 3] + [3] + [PLU] +
[1000] + [Department 8] + [Qty/Time]
Currency Exchange Rate Programming
You can program a currency exchange rate so that the cash register can
automatically calculate the transaction from your local currency into a
foreign currency and vice versa depending on the cash register's base
currency (Local or Foreign). The cash register is programmed by default
so that your local currency is the base currency. If you wish to change the
base currency to a foreign currency, refer to the "Programming System
Options" section in this manual, Machine Condition 10.
Programming an Exchange Rate
Exchange rate programming consists of firstly defining the position of the
decimal point of the exchange rate (0-8 digits after the decimal point), the
position for the decimal point of the changed amount which is also printed
on the sales receipt (0-3 digits after the decimal point), and then the actual
current exchange rate (6 digits). To provide you with the value in foreign
currency, the cash register divides the local currency value by the
exchange rate defined.
Proceed as follows to program or update the exchange rate of your local
currency into a foreign currency:
1. Slide the control switch to the PRG position.
2. Type the
[decimal point position]
of the exchange rate (0-8 digits
after the decimal point).
3. Type the [decimal point position] of the converted amount (0-3 digits
after the decimal point).
4. Type the [exchange rate] using six digits and without specifying any
decimal point.
5. Press the [Void] key to store the exchange rate.
Example: Program an exchange rate of £ 0.6774 to the Euro.
