Custom Unit
Custom Unit is used to create a unit of measure not provided with the balance, and
to display weight measurements in this custom unit. Before using Custom Unit, it
must be Set ON in the Unit Sub-menu. The Custom Unit is defined by a conversion
factor and a Least Significant Digit (LSD). The conversion factor is created by entering
a Factor and an Exponent (E) of the weight in grams, according to the formula:
Custom Unit = Factor x 10
E
grams

.
. The balance will use this to convert grams to a
custom unit of measure. The Factor is a value from 0.1000000 to 1.999999. The
Exponent moves the decimal point of the factor to the right or left. The Least Significant
Digit (LSD) is the value by which the displayed weight is increased or decreased.
