3.3.1 Weigh Mode (Cont.)
Weigh
To access the Weigh mode, press and hold
Mode
until the display shows WEIGH.
Press
Zero
to zero the balance.
Place objects to be weighed on the pan to
display the weight.
The example displays a 200 gram weight.
3.3.2 Count Mode
Use the Count mode to count parts of uniform
weight. Refer to Section. 3.5.3 to set the
Count mode ON.
When the pieces indicator (PC) is displayed,
place the quantity to be counted on the pan.
The example shows 141 pieces.
To access the Count mode, press
Mode
until the display shows COUNT.
Establish an Average Piece Weight (APW).
Each time a new type of part is to be counted, the nominal weight of one piece
(Average Piece Weight) must be established using a small quantity of pieces. The
Average Piece Weight (APW) is stored in memory until replaced by a new APW.
Put the specified number of pieces on the pan when the desired sample size is
displayed. To abort the APW, press and hold
No
. Otherwise press Yes

Count
The display indicates the number of pieces
to be used to establish the new APW.
If a different sample size is preferred, press

until the desired sample size is
